In this news item we give the floor to Florence Marchand – International Relations Coordinator at HZ University of Applied Sciences.

Florence says: “At the HZ International Office department, we have been hiring international students via The Work Zone for several years now. These students help us with our daily activities.
We also contact The Work Zone for one-off events, such as the recruitment of students that help us during our open days or in case of an internship vacancy in the office.
Our main activities consist of promoting our study programmes across the world and making sure HZ has a broad international population. To me, it is really energizing to work with students from different nationalities. Thanks to their motivation, their innovative ideas and the quality of their work, we always know how to communicate with today’s young international students.
Helping our student office crew with their professionalization is another key motivation for me. As I work for a University of Applied Sciences, it is rewarding to add all kinds of value to the professional development of our students.
The Work Zone helps us, not only with administrative procedures and employment contracts, but more importantly also with work permit applications, which also gives non-European students the opportunity to obtain a student job with us.”
