Our client is a fast-growing, down-to-earth technology organization that focuses on connectivity, IT, and cybersecurity solutions for the maritime industry. From the Netherlands, they design, manage, and support comprehensive IT and network solutions for clients worldwide.

The organization works on a wide range of projects, from satellite communications to secure network infrastructures aboard ships. The work is international, technically challenging, and highly varied, with a strong focus on reliability and security.

Your role:

As an IT Administrator, you are responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing IT and network systems. You switch between support, management, and projects and work closely with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.

No two days are the same: you work on network projects at the office, provide remote support to customers, or occasionally visit ships on-site for installation or management tasks.

Your duties and responsibilities:

-Preparing and executing IT and network projects.
-Managing and monitoring networks and infrastructure.
-Analyzing and resolving malfunctions and incidents.
-Supporting users and colleagues with IT issues.
-Installing, configuring, and managing hardware and software.
-Performing cybersecurity and network security tasks.
-Participating in the 24/7 support rotation (for additional compensation).
-Occasional travel to clients and ships, both domestically and internationally.

At the end of the day, you will have contributed to stable, secure, and well-functioning IT environments that clients worldwide rely on.

What are we looking for?

-MBO-4/HBO level of work and thinking
-Proficiency in Dutch and English.
-Knowledge of networks and infrastructure (such as VLANs, routing, and firewalls).
-Experience with systems such as Cisco, Fortinet, or comparable solutions is a plus.
-Interest in cybersecurity and network security.
-Customer-focused and service-oriented attitude.
-Stress-resistant, independent, and solution-oriented.
-Flexible and willing to travel occasionally.
